Many of the tutorials I create for you go through several phases to be perfected before I present them to you. Like many crafters we all have a stash of projects that we are working on. These are some of the upcoming tutorials to watch for!

To make this super cute nautical inspired clutch, first download and print the pattern.
To make this clutch you will need the following:
First cut out all of the 36 chevron pieces. Make sure you have 18 of each color.
Now pin and sew 1/4" seam allowance with foot of your choice. I prefer foot #37 since the guide on presser foot #57 can interfere with my visual of keeping the edges lined up. Repeat this for all pieces.
After sewing each piece, you will want to press your seams open. Make sure you do not use steam or your pieces will stretch and alter which will cause difficulty in matching your points!
Continue to join edges until you have 4 strips of 9 alternating pieces
*Tip: Sew one strip at a time, and plan your pieces. Make sure that you have sewn your pieces going in the correct angle for each stripe.
Next we are going to straighten out the edges on each end.
*Repeat on both sides!
Cut lining as instructed on pattern. Next cut Heavy Weight Pellon to match the size of your chevron piece.
Lay zipper face DOWN onto the right side of the fabric and pin.
Now lay lining fabric, WRONG side UP and pin.
To prepare to sew in your zipper move the needle position on your BERNINA to the left most position, and attach your zipper foot #4.
Don't forget to backstitch at the beginning and the end of the seam.
And voila! A quilting technique that is used to create a chevron print on our one-of-a-kind chevron! What colors will you choose?
